This standard of “meio alqueire” (half a bushel), made of bronze is dated 1575. It has a parallelepiped shape and a smooth base with two wings decorated with two affronted scrolls and floral decoration.

The Coat of arms of Portugal (a Latin shield with five escutcheons loaded with five bezants and a border with seven castles, surmounted by a closed royal crown) is engraved on one side. On the opposite side, several inscriptions are engraved: “R / L / V / I / SEBAS / TIANVS / .A.S / 1575”.
This standard has the Lisbon ship engraved, which indicates compliance with the Lisbon standard.
