Volume measure made of bronze with a parallelepiped shape and a smooth base with two opposing handles decorated with volutes.
On one side it presents the Coat of Arms of Portugal (Latin shield with five escutcheons loaded with five bezants and bordure with seven castles, surmounted by a closed royal crown). On the opposite side, inside a stripe superimposed on a diagonal arrow, there are several inscriptions: “R / SEBAS / TIANVS / L V / I / .A.S. / 1575 / O / P”.
This standard has a rectangular cut on the edge, which serves to set the maximum level corresponding to the volume.
